Safeguarding Notice

Kingdom Intelligence Institute takes safeguarding seriously. This notice explains how safeguarding-related matters should be handled when using this website, Automated Church resources and Ezra by Kingdom Intelligence.

1. Ezra is not a safeguarding service

Ezra is not a safeguarding officer, emergency service, counsellor, social worker, legal advisor or case management tool. Ezra must not be used to process live safeguarding concerns or make safeguarding decisions.

2. Do not enter safeguarding details into Ezra

Do not enter:

• Names or identifying details of children, young people or vulnerable adults
• Safeguarding disclosures
• Abuse allegations
• Pastoral counselling records
• Private family or congregational details
• Details about risk, harm, neglect or abuse involving identifiable people

3. If there is immediate danger

If someone is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services in your country. In the UK, call 999.

4. If there is a safeguarding concern

Follow your church or organisation’s safeguarding policy. Contact your designated safeguarding lead or safeguarding officer as soon as possible.

If you are unsure what to do, speak to a qualified safeguarding professional or appropriate authority. Do not rely on Ezra to make safeguarding decisions.

5. How Ezra may help safely

Ezra may help with general safeguarding-aware questions, such as:

• What kinds of AI use could create safeguarding risk?
• What should an AI acceptable use policy mention?
• Why should churches avoid putting personal data into public AI tools?
• How can leadership teams think about governance and accountability?

Ezra must not be used to analyse, assess, summarise or decide specific safeguarding cases.

6. AI and vulnerable people

Churches and Christian organisations should be especially careful when AI tools might affect children, young people, vulnerable adults, counselling situations, pastoral care, private communications or sensitive personal data.

7. Human responsibility

AI tools can support administration, drafting and general learning, but humans remain responsible for care, discernment, safeguarding and accountability.
